ABOUT US
Orange County TaeKwonDo has been instructing martial arts for over 37 years and has continued through three generations from instructor to student.
As evolution has proven, each successive generation becomes better. The third and current generation features one of the most knowledgeable and versatile certified instructors to teach at the academy. A unique background and extensive training in multiple martial arts, bringing you the best of many worlds. A long time teacher - and even longer as a student - Mr. Eric Chang has over 26 years of experience in TaeKwonDo alone.
Instructors continually attend TKD conventions, trainings, and seminars throughout the year. This continuing education allows us to have the latest in teaching methods and training techniques. The conventions and seminars include but are not limited to: basic training foundational skills, Han Mun Do, and self-defense. Instructors have been through rigorous physical and written testing standards to ensure a high level of quality instructional ability.
We'd like to acknowledge and congratulate our growing team of junior instructors/assistants. Their achievements of junior instructor/assistant status have been attained through their hard work and dedication.
In order to be eligible, these students must be black belts, must demonstrate exemplary leadership, must possess the knowledge and abilities required and must be invited to join. Candidates then must take a written and physical exam.
The tenets of Knowledge and Community come to mind as these junior level instructors and assistants pass on that which they have gained through the years to their fellow students.
Mr. Eric Chang
Chief Instructor & Owner
Sr. 5th Degree Black Belt
Mr. Chang is a long time student of TaeKwonDo. He has earned numerous 1st Place Champion medals and titles in Forms, Free Design Forms, Board Breaking, Free-Sparring.
He has been a proud academy owner for 18 fantastic years and has been instructing for over 22 years. He has been an Orange County local for more then 26 years.
Mr. Chang attended U.C. Irvine -GO Anteaters, zot-zot-zot!
Community Corner
Community is one of the words we strive to live by, both on the mat and off the mat. From various projects to fundraisers and walks to basic food collections to free self-defense clinics, we constantly strive to give back.
Our last few projects:
Participation in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, Orange County Chapter.
Board-Break-Athon to raise money for St. Jude's Childern's Hospital. We rasied well over $4000 on a impressive combined student & parent involvement.
Mr. Wesley Khademi

Mr. K just celebrated his 13th year of TaeKwonDo. He is a skilled TaeKwonDo artist that has earned numerous 1st Place titles. He is an excited high school senior that balances TaeKwonDo as well as high school soccer, after-school clubs, and a full academic load.
He is attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. We wish him all the best and hope to see him back on the mat soon!
Mr. Dylan Tran

Mr. Tran (aka Mr. T) is an up-and-coming Black Belt who was invited to join our Instructor Team. He has been training in TaeKwonDo for 5 years. He serves as a great role model assisting other students.
Mr. T is an A-student and a boy scout as well. He's setting a great example and shaping up as a great role model to what hard work can achieve.
His 2 younger brothers just earned their Black Belts- following closely in his footsteps. You know what they say, a family that kicks together, sticks together!
Mr. Carson Quigley

Mr. Quigley (aka Mr. Q) is a long time student who had been helping out and finally decided to take the plunge. So he tested and officially join the Assistant Team. He's a great addition and we're glad to have him and his help!
Mr. Q is a studious student both on the mat and off! He has been taking TKD for 4 years now and he's got a mean jump spin crescent kick. So watch out and get your guard up!
He's got an equally awesome sister, Sara who is a Senior Red Belt!
